Home Assistant, NetRelay and local broker
In a typical setup, Home Assistant, MQTT broker, and NetRelay are on the same trusted network. NetRelay broadcasts I/O statuses; Automations manage relays via command topics.
ESPHome and native firmware selection
ESPHome provides fast integration. MQTT or HTTP API can be used with native NetRelay firmware in projects that require Ping Watchdog, dry contact transmission and advanced event management.

PoE support simplifies panel cabling by combining energy and Ethernet communication in a single cable in the appropriate switch infrastructure.
